1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using MatchupWise, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance.
2. Description of Service
MatchupWise is a career platform and application that provides job matching, CV building, cover letter generation, interview preparation, career roadmaps, and related career development tools. Some features are available only on paid subscription plans. All core features of the application are available to try on the Free plan before any purchase is required.
3. Account Registration
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You must be at least 16 years old to use MatchupWise.
- One person may not maintain more than one free account.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Subscription Plans & Payments
MatchupWise offers Free, Pro, and Premium subscription plans. Paid plans are billed monthly, every 3 months, or annually.
- Payments are processed securely through our payment provider.
- Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand through your account settings.
- You may cancel future renewals at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you retain access until then. Quarterly and annual plans are prepaid at a reduced rate, so cancelling stops the renewal but does not refund the remainder of a term already paid for.
- Plan features and pricing may change with reasonable advance notice to existing subscribers.
5. Refunds and Right of Withdrawal
Outside the statutory right of withdrawal described at the end of this section, a billing period that has already started is not refunded. Here is why:
Before purchasing any paid plan, every user has full access to the Free plan, which includes meaningful functionality across the application. This gives you the opportunity to explore the platform, test its features, and decide whether MatchupWise meets your needs. Entirely at no cost.
Because you can evaluate the application on the Free plan before paying, a billing period that has started is not refunded once your statutory withdrawal period has passed or does not apply to you. This covers monthly, 3-month and annual plans alike.
- No refunds will be issued for partially used subscription periods.
- Forgetting to cancel before a renewal date is not on its own a ground for a refund.
- No refunds will be issued for plan downgrades mid-period.
- Purchases made on the website are handled by our payment provider acting as merchant of record, and its refund policy applies in addition to the above. Purchases made inside the iOS app are handled by Apple, and any refund for those is requested from Apple.
If you believe a charge was made in error due to a technical fault on our side, contact us at hello@matchupwise.com within 7 days of the charge and we will review your case.
Right of withdrawal (EU, EEA and UK consumers)
If you are a consumer in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have 14 days from the day the contract is concluded to withdraw from it, without giving any reason and without penalty.
To withdraw, send a clear statement to hello@matchupwise.com saying that you withdraw from the contract. No particular form is required. Purchases made on the website are sold by our payment provider acting as merchant of record and we pass your statement to it; purchases made inside the iOS app are sold by Apple and the request goes to Apple. The amount is returned to the payment method you used, within 14 days of the statement reaching the seller.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the platform.
- Share your account credentials with others.
- Use automated tools to access the Service without our written permission.
- Upload malicious files or content that violates third-party rights.
- Misrepresent your identity or create fraudulent documents.
7. Application-Generated Content
MatchupWise uses advanced technology within its application to generate cover letters, CV suggestions, interview questions, and career advice. All generated content is provided as-is for informational and professional support purposes. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all application-generated content before using it in any professional context.
8. Intellectual Property
The MatchupWise platform, brand, design, and underlying technology are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. Content you create using our application belongs to you. You grant us a limited licence to process and store your content solely to provide the Service.
9. Limitation of Liability
MatchupWise is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from your settings page. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. Contact us at hello@matchupwise.com.
